This I think is a brilliant idea! Lets see how much involvement we can get from people! The more involvement the more fun in my opinion!

I was cutting up potatoes tonight and remembered my Mother telling me that when she was very young she was sick and the Doctors could not determine what was wrong with her. She craved raw potatoes during that time and that was all she would eat. She was so weak she could not walk and her family had to carry her around. I wonder what todays technology would of diagnosed her with. I looked up craving raw potatoes on the internet but only found a few blogs of info there.

Something I have found over the years is that our bodies usually tell us what it needs. Though it is strange, we do from time to time get insatiable cravings for the strangest things. I think this is often triggered by our body realizing it got access to certain vitamins and nutrients from a certain food. Therefore it craves these different foods when we are deficient for a vitamin or mineral the body knows we need.
In the case of craving foods I think so long as it is a raw or natural food then we should give in to those cravings because the body is telling us what it needs. Raw potatoes (and this is just an opinion) seem harmless enough, and they are a good source of Dietary Fiber, Vitamin B6, Potassium, and a very good source of Vitamin C.
